Investigative & Instructional Background

Jody previously served as a Supervisory Assistant U.S. Attorney (federal prosecutor) with the U.S. Department of Justice, where she led complex federal investigations involving corruption, fraud, and financial crimes. In addition to her investigative leadership, she regularly instructed hundreds of law enforcement professionals on constitutional law principles, complex investigative strategy, public engagement, and courtroom testimony. Her federal enforcement experience forms the practical foundation for her specialized investigations training and subject-matter expertise.

Jody also served as Vice President and Assistant General Counsel for Global Financial Crimes at JPMorgan Chase, operating at the intersection of global regulatory oversight and enterprise risk. She advised senior business and compliance leaders on complex financial crimes investigations — spanning BSA/AML, sanctions, and cross-border enforcement — while developing and delivering training for internal investigators and compliance professionals. This executive-level experience equips her to translate complex investigative environments into practical training and credible technical advisory.

Military Service

A veteran of the United States Air Force, Jody served on active duty as a Judge Advocate General (JAG), including an overseas deployment to the Middle East. She served as both a prosecutor and defense counsel in various military assignments. Her military service cultivated the discipline, operational judgment, military justice expertise, and mission-focused leadership that define her instructional approach and creative consulting work.
